221 Kalinowski Brothers, 2 shows, 8 min. full stage--Two clever hand balancers, introducing several new feats. From a 3-a-day standpoint it is an excellent act. All their feats were appreciatively applauded. Dudley Prescott, 3 shows, 11 min. in 1--Ventriloquil and musical entertainer. Forced to put him in by reason of movie La Petite Adelaide from below the kinetograph to above it. Would not recommend his act for any of the other houses as he is only a fair filler. Violet [Violet?] Staley, 3 shows, 10 min. in 1--Pretty and handsomely costumed young woman with a fair voice, who managed to secure some applause in this poor spot in the bill. Owley & Randall, 3 shows, 10 min. in 2--Man and woman, novelty jugglers. Well-known on the circuit. Good act for the early 3-show section. Curtis and May, 3 shows, 16 min. in 1--Vocalists and a little dancing. Just a fair act from the 3-a-day standpoint. Comment:- This afternoon before the largest audience of the summer, Miss Harrison's act fell decidedly flat and she will appear in her second show at 7 o'clock tonight. I can only reiterate what I have said on former occasions "that 'legitimate' actors should never be booked without the vehicle". Their names are not sufficient to draw and they must "make good" or go down the bill to the detriment of the whole show.
