[page number] 233 TEMPLE THEATRE, DETROIT, MICH. [handwritten in pencil:] 233 Week of August 21. J. H. Finn. Marvelous Frank & Little Bob- Two men and a dog in a comedy-gymnastic set of considerable merit. It opened our show and made good all the way. 10 F.S. 9 in one. Chris. Bruno & Mabel Russell- A neat singing and comedy skit. Both are good dressers and made a pleasing impression. 18 F.S. Close in one. B. Troba- Cannon ball manipulator and strong man generally. A good act but I am of the impression that these acts are not suitable for our audiences. 14 min. F. S. Lew Hawkins- One of the best blackface monologists that comes to this theater. His line of talk is clean and wholesome fun. 17 min. in one. Cheridah Simpson- This prima donna was handicapped at the two opening performances through the loss of her wardrobe trunks, but she borrowed a dress from Kathryn Osterman and got through with flying colors. Miss Simpson sings in her old-time voice and will draw considerable money. 10 min, with the plust and a piano. Myles McCarthy and Aida Woolcott- Presenting "The Tout's Dream." This act is quite inferior to the same style of act of Hal Davis & Inez Macaulay or the racing act of Emmett Corrigan. Would not like to see it here again. 26 min. F. S. Raymond & Caverly- This German comedy team is almost too well known on the circuit for extended mention. 19 min. in one. Withington Zouaves- A Michigan company of 21 min in a drill and wall-scaling act that is quite as good as any act of this kind we have ever played. 13 min. F.S. COMMENT- This is a very good bill for this time of the year.
