3. BEN WELCH, Hebrew Character:- 18 min. in 1. 2 shows. This man's work is far above the ordinary, both in manner and matter, travesty being particularly to the good. Each one of his experiences, as well as his songs, received a big hand, and at the close there were three encores. This difficult place ion the bill was held down to-day, and he will go even stronger to-night. WILLS & HASSON, Equilibrist:- 12 min F.S. 2 shows. Two men doing head-and-hand balancing of the very best order. Their various acts have been seen here before, but they are always interesting and got good applause. They carry their own stand with stairs, and do an act somewhat like the Camaras Sisters, with variations. Ringing applause at finish. KINETOGRAPH:- BALLOON ASCENSION:- One of the best series of films of an actual scene of much public interest. INVISIBLE MEN:- A French film of spirit and good. Altogether the KINETOGRAPH feature is away above the standard, and considering that this supported by the earthquake pictures further up the bill, makes it a drawing card. GENERAL REMARKS:- The show as a whole is very good indeed. It has no absolutely weak spot. Some shifting has been necessary to make the various features cumulative in interest, but the acts are generally on the high plane requiring no emendations or cuts. It is, all told, a much better bill than that of last week, and will bring good business. The following routine was decided upon to give the various features a more perfect continuity:- Francis Wood..........5.20 Smith & Baker.........5.30 Ethel Clifton.........5.43 W. & E. Hart..........6.00 Foster & Dog..........6.12 Francis wood..........6.25 Smith & Baker.........6.35 Ethel Clifton Co......6.49 W. & E. Hart..........7.05 Van Aukens............7.17 Keith's Orchestra.....7.25 Brock, Mack & Belmont..7.30 Foster & Dog..........7.50 C. Gillingwater.......8.03 Latina................8.40 Four Fords............8.50 Earthquake Pictures...9.04 Snyder & Buckley......9.12 Salerno................9.35 Ben Welch.............9.52 Wills & Hassan.......10.10 Kinetograph..........10.22 10.30
