----o(2)o----- CLAUDE GILLINGWATER & CO: In his one-act farce:-"A Strenuous Proposal." The company consists of Mr. Gillingwater, two women and three men. This comedy was described in previous criticism. The drunken character is not overdrawn. The company is excellent. Act contains many good strong laughs and the business is funny. Comedy is thoroughly alright and finished to big applause, taking three curtain calls. 33 min.-full stage. CHARLEY CASE: This man held his own down in this place. Kept them laughing continually for sixteen minutes with a lot of new and bright material. Always goes well here. 8 BEDOUIN ARABS: After the posturing in this act, one of the Arabs make a speech, which is a scream. Audience didn't know what he was saying. They simply howled when it was over. The tumbling got the crowd. Tremendous applause on the finish. Great closing act. 10 min:-fullest: LeROY & WOODFORD: Compelled to use this act here on account of the show being short and to my surprise made a tremendous hit. They have a lot of new and bright material and kept the audience in continual laughter. 18 min. in one-2. KINETOGRAPH: "San Francisco before the Earthquake." Very long and monotonous "Love vs. Title." Another eloping film, although a little novel and managed to secure some laughs.
