41 ---(2)--- RAY L. ROYCE: While this man has absolutely nothing new, he got them laughing on the start-off and held them throughout. All os [of] his impersonations received a big lot of applause. I think it is safe to say that he went fully as strong as when last here. 16 min. in one ROBERT HILLIARD & CO: Presenting his on-eact [one-act] play:"As a Man Sows." First time here. Well known over the circuit. Held the attention of the audience throughout. Compelled to take three good curtain calls. The best act Mr. Hilliard ever presented. 29 min.-full stage HOWARD & HOWARD The Messenger Boy and the Thespian. One works straight and the other in Hebrew Character, whose impersonations are immense. Both are very good. In this late place on the bill, they secured many laughs. Mighty cheap at the price. Should get contracts for two years at once. 21 min. in one- 2 shows HAZARDOUS GLOBE OF DEATH: On account of the objection of Gasoline being used on the stage by the Bureau of Combustibles, Doctor Clarke was unable to give his full exhibition of riding, therefore, the act will have to close, as it is of no value without the motor work. 5 min CANON & HERBERT: 2 men. In their well known acrobatic comedy. Straight man is immense and a very clever acrobat, all of his work being very strongly applauded. Secured continual laughter throughout specially their encore in one, which was a tremendous hit. Laughing and applause hit of the show. 12 min. closed in one about 3 min. KINETOGRAPH: "Troubled of a Dog" Good "Troubles of a Fireman" Good comedy "Olympic Games of Athens" Interesting NOTE: Weather conditions being favorable, the house was packed to overflowing at both performances. The audience were rather enthusiastic and everything went with a scream. The show is a genuine Mid-Winter Bill, excelling in novelties and star features, and one of the best we have had here for many a day. Compelled to substitute Caron & Herbert for the "Globe of Death."
