47 ---(2)--- Contrary to the Boston criticism, his act is very short, only consuming 11 minutes. Will ask him to do a little more time this evening. Was compelled to take three bows on his finish. AT THE NIGHT PERFORMANCE: He went terrific. After he left the stage and the next act announced, he was compelled to return and make a speech. JAMES A. KIERNAN & CO: Presenting the comedy:-"The Taming of the Beast." Was described in Philadelphia criticism. Act is rather rough with laughs in spots. The woman, as a vocaliste, is bad, and the son just about gets by in his song. Closed to very little applause. 19 min.-full stage AURIE DAGWELL: This young woman always goes well here. Her selections are good and each was strongly applauded. 10 min. in one EDWIN STEVENS: In his comedy:-"A Night Out." Acts remains the same as before. He is assisted by Miss Marshall, who has a fair personality. Just about gets by in her delivery and acts as a feeder, giving Stevens an opportunity in his impersonations, various stories, etc. Act with her has improved, but entirely too long, holding the stage 33 minutes. He was, however, the biggest laughing hit up to this time with an encore in one, leaving them very strong. HUGH STANTON & MISS MODENA: In the satire:-"For Reform." Surprising how this act holds. Went fully as strong to-day as before, securing a big lot of laughs. 19 min.-full stage RAYMOND & CAVERLY: German Comedians. This act always goes well here. Their material is all new and the burlesque opera brought forth screams of laughter, making them the applause hit of the show 17 min. in one TONY WILSON & MISS HELOISE: Horizontal Bar. Improved quite a little since last here. Continual applause throughout. Good closing act. 8 min.- KINETOGRAPH: "Railway Scene" Foreign. Showing a picture of a French Passenger Coach with a panoramic view of the surrounding country. Good "The Holiday" Foreign film. Showing the pranks of three children "Three Ha Porth of Leeks" Will take off
