67 Cleveland Show Week of July 30, 1906. (F. H Brandt) MARSHALL & LORRAINE-- Comedy entitled "Rag Time Liz" The Queen of the Bowery. A man and a woman. This act amounts to very little. It consists mostly of talking and burlesque drama. There is absolutely no interest in same and very few laughs. The audience seemed very much pleased when they got through. C.D.F. 16 minutes. GERTRUDE GEBEST-- Character comedienne. In songs imitations and stories. Her songs and imitations are only fair but she got a very good on her story, "The Street Urchin and a Tip on a Running Race." Drop in one 12 minutes. THE SCHUBERT QUARTETTE-- Two men and two women in straight quartette work. This is a very good act. They made good with the afternoon audience. Olio in one. 14 minutes. J. C. NUGENT & COMPANY-- in "The Rounder." Comedy dramatic sketch. This sketch has some very bright lines although some of them seemed a little bit broad. The man is very good and the woman does fairly well. The got a good hand at the close. C.D.F. 18 minutes. INTERMISSION-- Ten minutes. ARTHUR DEAGON & COMPANY-- Mr. Deagon is assisted by Eva Bennett, and Percy Bronson. A sketch entitled "The Perfect Man." As far as a sketch is concerned it is very bad as there is absolutely nothing to it nevertheless Mr. Deagon has an unusually good voice and is a very clever dancer. Miss Bennett and Mr. Bronson have very little to do more than to fill in. The act closes with a tough dance by Mr. Deagon and Miss Bennett which scored very heavily. The act received five curtain calls at the finish. C.D.F. 20 minutes CARSON & WILLARD-- Frizzled Finance. Singing, talking and dancing. These two men are supposed to be German comedians while their make-up this afternoon did not indicate same. Nevertheless the act went very good and got a good hand at the finish. Olio in one 13 minutes. SELMA BRAATZ-- Europe's greatest woman juggler. this is without a doubt one of the best straight juggling acts we have had here this season especially her work with the hats, rubber balls, and billiard cues. In the 13 minutes that she was on she only missed one trick and considering the place she was on the bill she certainly made good and held the audience until close without any trouble. She closes her act juggling the lighted torches which received a hand all the way through. This act ought to make good anywhere. F.S. Wood 13 minutes. KINETOGRAPH-- The Watchdog-- A very good chasing picture which causes a good deal of laughter. The Olympia Games at Athena)) This is a very good picture It is interesting and shows the games to good advantage.
