112 ---(2)---- MAY BELFORT: English Delineator of Character Songs. Sang several new numbers. Each strongly received. Easily the applause hit of the show. 19 min. in one VALERIE BERGERE & CO: Presenting the one-act playlet:-"His Japanese Wife." Received some little advance applause. Watched with great interest throughout. Miss Bergere's character work was greatly appreciated. I think the act went fully as strong as on its first presentation and finished to big applause with two curtain calls 28 min.-full stage JOSEPHINE GASSMAN & PICKS: Negotiated this place in fairly good shape. Opened rather time. Pickaninnies love-song was a big laugh. Chinese impersonations gave them an excellent finish with big applause. 13 min. in one FRED & PAULY: American Debut. Equilibrists. 2 men. Pleasing personality. Work in full dress. Act consists of equilibristic work and ring-balancing. They opened the act with one hand balancing on canes, back of chairs, etc, closing with some very good head-to-head balancing, and finishing with ring-balancing with one finger. Closed to big applause. 10 min.-full stage KINETOGRAPH: "Anything for Peace and Quietness" Baby picture. Quite amusing. Appealing to the women. "The Hundred Tricks" Very good "Marble Industry in Carrara" Very interesting "Two Mischievous Boys" Good comedy
