GRAND OPERA HOUSE.
OCTOBER 15th, 06.
FRANKLINK-WALLACE & CO.-"A Case of Champagne" Time of act 12 min. 3 shows  This act just about gets away.
WILL MEAD AND DOG "SPARKLE". 12 minutes. Olio. A very good act-exceptionally strong among the three a days-I think good enough to open any show.
QUIGG-MARKEY & NICKERSON-Comedy musical act. 2 shows-20 minutes. This is not a good act and I am sure I would not want to play them again.
KINGSLEY & LEWIS-30 minutes, Interior. I consider the sketch very good, and I also think Mr. Lewis is very clever. To me, Miss Kingsley is very bad. I do not think we want to play her again.
MAX BEROL KONORAH & MME. KONORAH- "MENE TEKEL" of the MYSTIC BALL. 11 min. This act is a novelty and I feel sure that it has drawn us a little money. A sheet of blank paper is suspended from the stage and while swinging to and fro a small ball is placed upon its surface. Travelling across the surface it writes words that are suggested in a whisper by people in the audience to Mr. Konorah. Both Mr. and Mrs. Konorah are clever people and get more out of the act than many others would.
FRED RAY & CO-15 minutes. Olio. Burlesque on Shakespeare. The addition of the third person to this act has improved it wonderfully. It is an enormous hit.
NED NYE & ROLLICKING GIRLS. 22 min. Ned Nye is clever except when he gets fresh, which is very frequently. The Reid Sisters do very good work, while the balance of the company do not look well. Mr. Nye carries swings which are decorated with very dirty artificial flowers which I feel sure does not improve the act. I haven't any hesitancy in saying that we will not want to play him a return.
WALTER KELLY-Olio-18 min. Still doing the Southern judge and going very big.
ED REYNARD-Ventriloquist. 22 min. Full stage, special set. A big hit. He also introduces a few new figures which improves the act very much.
COOPER & ROBINSON-13 min. Street  Going as good as during their first engagement here, which was very strong.
FOUR NIGHTONS-Special drop. 11 minutes. Statue posing and acrobatic feats. The best act of the kind in the business. Goes very big with us.
AMOS-Comedy juggler-3 shows. Very good among the three a day acts.
GERTRUDE BLACK-Contralto. 11 min. 3 shows. Miss Black's work is not good at present but I feel sure that after she has worked a few weeks her act will improve. Her selections were [???] and it kept her busy [???]
