Saving...
(2) Lew Sully. On at 3.18, 17 min, in 1. Sully has an entertaining combination of old and new stuff. It is my personal opinion that his act would be about one-third stronger if he worked in black-face. Willard Simms & Co. On at 3.35, 19 min full stage, 10 min close in 1, 29 min in all. It seems a pity that Simms cannot play the first part of his act last, or else get a good strong finish for the opening. I think that his act would actually be more valuable if he could finish full stage, without having to jump into his old operatic travesty. 15 min. of section one and the act is almost a continuous scream, but section two falls off considerably and does not leave the audience in as happy a mood as would a strong climax to section one.
