180 PITTSBURG, PA. GRAND OPERA HOUSE NOV. 19th, 06. SCOTT & WHALEY- Two men. Olio in one. 15 minutes, 3 shows. Colored singing, dancing and talking act. This act does very well in the three a day section. TENBROOK-LAMBERT & TENBROOK in "Prof. Schmelz's Academy" 20 min. interior This act introduces Mr. Lambert in a violin solo which is exceptionally good. Mr. Tenbrook is a fair German comedian. The act as a whole does very well. DURAND TRIO-3 shows. 12 minutes. Street in one. I consider this a good act-much better than any of the acts doing three shows. LADELL & CROUCH- Acrobatic songs and dances. 15 minutes, interior, closing in one 5 minutes. A good act but not worth the money they get. I think if the act was getting about $75.00 lee they would be all right. MORRIS CRONIN & TROUPE-Juggling. Special set. 13 minutes. This act is surely a novelty and is going very big with our patrons, causing considerable talk. I consider it one of the best acts of the kind we have ever played. STANLEY & LEONARD-13 minutes. Olio in one. Mr. Stanley's impersonations of Eddy Foy and George Cohan goes very well. I think the work of Miss Lenard has improved very much. The act is going very well with us on a very hard place on the bill. FRED WALTON. 39 minutes, special set. "Cissie's Dream" There is no question but what this man is a great artist but I feel sure that he would get much better results if his act was cut about 20 minutes. While I cannot see that he has improved our business any, I feel sure that he more than pleases a certain per cent of our patrons. However, I feel sure that I would not want to play him a return with the present act. CRANE BROS. IN THE MUDTOWN LOCK-UP". There being, of course, only two now. 14 minutes in one. The fact of the third member, "Special Announcement" being absent, handicaps them quite a little. I think it would have been much better had they put some one else in the act and made a three act with it GEORGE WILSON-Black face monologue and parodies. 15 min. Street in one. Going fair. WYLIE'S DOGS-Special set-full stage 12 min. A neat little act that would do well early on the bill. I have them closing the show and they are just about getting by. SIMON & GARDNER-28 min. Full stage, interior, "The New Coachman". Went about the same as usual. However, I feel sure that our patrons have seen about enough of the "New Coachman" and I think it would be wise for Simon & Gardner to select a new act, which I understand they are going to do. SOUSA & SLOAN-15 minutes. Comedy magic. Interior, closing in one about 3 minutes. There may be comedy in this act, also magic, but I have failed to discover it. I think it is one of the worst acts we have had. John P. Harris.
