200. Cleveland Show Week of December 17, 1906. ( H. A. Daniels) FRED & PAULY-- European gymnasts. Two men working straight. They do head and hand balancing and the act proved to be an excellent opener. F. S. 10 min. KELLY & VIOLETTE-- For six years I have watched this act come and go. In my opinion they have improved constantly. I would now consider them one of the best and most dependable acts in one we play. They received advance applause today and a number of curtain calls. Drop in one. 14 min. EVERHART-- Gave the best act he has ever given. He now carries three men instead of two and they work in full dress. His stuff is all new and he dresses the stage with excellent taste. A very good act. F. S. 9 minutes. NAT HAINES-- Received a little advance applause. He held them for 16 minutes with three surtains at the close. 'Nough said. Drop in one. 16 minutes. THE WILLIS FAMILY-- Two girls and two boys in a musical act. Have not been in Cleveland for some time. The audience responded to their efforts with vigorous applause and the act went as well as the Six Cuttys have ever gone here. 20 minutes. F. S. Close in one. LATROUPE CARMEN-- Five people. Three men and two girls. Acrobatic wire act. This act was placed here because of the fact that Wilfred Clarke had to come from St. Louis and did not arrive here until three P.M. today. The Carmen Troupe presented a very good act and received liberal applause but in my estimation they cannot be classed with the Holloway Trio or the Four Harveys. However they did not detract from an excellent show and everyone seemed to be satisfied with their work. F. S. 10 minutes. CLIFF GORDON-- The German Politician. Received advance applause. Made a hit and that is about all that is necessary. Drop in one. 15 min WILFRED CLARKE & COMPANY-- Sketch "What Will Happen Next?" This is a sketch written for vaudeville by one who knows the demands of a vaudeville audience. The act is full of lifeand action and there is not a dull moment from start to finish. Was received with roars of laughter and liberal applause. Two menand two women. Special set 15 minutes. KINETOGRAPH-- Showing a trick French film. Very good. COMMENT-- The show is probably the best vaudeville show that we have ever had in the theatre. There is no big feature to detract from the other acts and every individual act from the opening to the close went with a dash that was remarkable. I cannot recall ever seeing a better balanced show. There is not a weak spot in it and everything seems to fit.
