Hennings, Lewis & Hennings. These people call their sketch, "Mixed Drinks", but I should say that a better title would be "Extracts from the works of James Tgornton, Ed. Blundell and other famous vaudeville people." I don't know what they would have done if these other people had not been in the business ahead of them. There is not one thing original in the act; very little that I call good, excepting the eccentric dancing of one of the men and the straight dancing of the woman. One of the men does a "booby" into which he invests absolutely no character whatever. Somehow another they got by pretty well and pleased, but I think on the whole about 7.45 is the time for the act. 20 min. open full stage and close in 1, 2 shows. The Immensaphone. This act is a novelty and the musical work is fairly well done. It failed to score a hit. The afternoon audience was inclined to guy it a little bit and laughed at what was not intended to be funny in the act. The night audience took it a little more seriously and it seemed to please them. Figuring the cost of the act to Lasky, Rolfe & Co., and its value as a novelty, I should say that it is getting about $200.00 more than there is any good reason to pay it. If it was billed as a second or third feature, it would be thoroughly all right. As a headliner, it does not give satisfaction. [1?] min. full stage, 2 shows. Hawthorne & Burt. This is a very good act indeed; too well-known to reqiure description. They made a hit yesterday. 14 min. in 1, 2 shows. Kingsley & Lewis. Went on earlier than this, but did not finish their act as noted above. Jas. J. Morton. With his usual material, made his usual hit. 14 min. in 1, 2 shows. Count DeButz & Bro. Bicyclists. This is absolutely and unqualifiedly a three a day act. In fact there are two or three Bicycle acts, doing three shows a day, that are better, viz., Cherry & Bates, and the Armstrong Bros. This act is not good enough to close the show, but I have nothing else to put there. In this house best place they ought to get is about 7.30. 14 min. full stage, 2 shows. Motion Picutres. Scenes in Sugar-cane Industry. Very interesting. Dr. Dippe's Sanitarium. Comedy picture, only fairly good. (.....under sheet) would not put in excepting in an emergency as we would have had it too often. Any house that has not had it more than once - I should say - it is still a good proposition. 23 min. full stage, 2 shows. IMMENSAPHONE. Instead of increasing in value it seems to decrease. It got hardly a hand on their finish last night. My impression now is that instead of being worth $200. less than we are paying it, it is worth $400. less;- in fact I don't think it is worth anything at all, taking it absolutely from the audience standpoint.
