CONTINUED. FIELDS & WOOLEY---German Comedians. At last the audience really laughed. Their comedy while helped by pistol shots etc. was greatly enjoyed, especially by a packed gallery who had been more than patient. This act is a big hit with the audience, and it is the only critic. Their airship "stunt" was a scream. 18 minutes in one. CARON & HERBERT--These men were sent for in a hurry to take the place of Bernars' Marionettes who had not arrived, and had to work under great disadvantages owing to their paraphernalia not having arrived, they did all their tumbling on two stage rubs. However, they made a big hit with their acrobatic stuff, altho' they have too many pistol shots in the first part of their act. Their close in one with the syphon is a scream for our audience. 13 minutes. Full stage, and short close in one. KAUFMAN TROUPE--Advance applause. Five women, and three men. Great act, but terribly handicapped by small stage, especially as a bad act was set up at back. However, their judgment of space was simply wonderful, and they receive round after round of applause. An act that will always make good, and is worth the money. 17 minutes in 4. HINES & REMINGTON---Man and woman. Too well known for much comment from me. The woman is just as good, as the man is bad. She had the audience laughing from start to finish, and while it is anything but drawing room comedy it all went with a scream. 26 minutes in one. Special drop. A NIGHT IN ENGLISH VAUDEVILLE---Big advance applause. The specialties are great, and are a scream. The whole act was a big laughing hit, and held the audience to the finish. The act is just as good as the Original from a Comedy stand point, but the scenery needs touching up badly. Owing to their having to change the act considerably, it brought the time down to 18 minutes, but will be longer to-night. KINETOGRAPH--The Hand of the Artist. A very good, interesting and comedy film. 2. View of the Hudson. Interesting but rather indistinct. #3. The Tramp Dog. Very good for the youngsters. NOTE---The latter part of the show is good, but the whole show is not worth the money, but several hundred dollars. The three show section is about as bad as can be imagined. Lindsay Morison.
