(HARLEM OPERA HOUSE PAGE TWO) excellent vehicle. Rather novel and interesting. Held the attention throughout. Was rather tiresome to the gallery, but please the lower part of the house. Connelly is excellent Gerald Griffin was accorded big applause on his entrance. The audience seemed to think he was the star. 22 min.-full stage. JULIA SANDERSON: While this woman's voice is not as good as others we have played of her style, she has youth, personality, costumes, etc. Her selections are good and she managed to secure some fairly good applause. It is a great mistake to play this woman too near Bessie Wynn over the circuit. 14 min in one O'BRIEN-HAVEL: ASSISTED BY EFFIE LAWRENCE: In: "Ticks and Clicks" Well know. Scored big from start to finish. Just the sort of comedy the want here. 22 min JOE WELCH: his man received some little advanced applause. His act is intermingled with some old and new material. This afternoon he was on entirely too long and tired the audience. Have cut his act down to about 15 minutes. Rather a disappointment and fell short of being a headline attraction. Julian Rose and Ben Welch have him beat a mile. 23 min. in one BELLONG BROTHERS: Cycling Equilibrists. an excellent act in its class. Not the sort of an act desire here to close the show. All of their work was strongly applauded. They work rather slow. The best part of the house left before they finished. 12 min.-full stage KINETOGRAPH: "The Hand of the Artist" Excellent "The Tramp Dog" Very good
