CONTINUED. WILLARD SIMMS & CO. --- A well known sketch, and went well indeed both this afternoon and to-night. as has been mentioned before it would be a good thing if he could transpose the act, but I can see that dramatically it would be impossible. One of the best laughing acts on the circuit, and well worth the money. 26 minutes, full stage. Special Scenery. KATIE BARRY --- Being warned by the Providence Manager, I asked her to do exactly as she did in Providence at night which she did, and I have found out that the act went ever so much better than it did here before when she sang her old 'Enry Brown song with the man in the box. I was going to ask her to sing this song to-night, but found out the last time she sang it here she left the Stage without a hand. The act goes very well indeed. Of course, her name must draw some money, but my audience would a great deal rather have a genuine Vaudeville low Comedy act with plenty of "Slap-stick" (at one half the money and more time) than this expensive luxury which does not get the applause which one would expect for the money. 12 minutes in one. MORRIS CRONIN & CO --- Also well known on the circuit. This act had pretty hard going, following a "comparative" two weeks frost the "Wesseleys." However, the act went big this afternoon, altho' there were quite a number of "slips." To-night it went with terrific applause, and more than pleased. Cronin's personality is wonderful. 14 minutes, full stage. Special Scenery. JULIAN ROSE --- An old favorite at this house, and our East Side patrons more than enjoyed his Jewish patter. I imagine that this audience give him more applause than any other. Big hit. 17 minutes in one. DUFFIN REDCAY TROUPE --- Four men in a truly wonderful bar act. It was however a lucky thing that they had a net this afternoon, as one of the men made a nasty slip that made thee audience gasp. All right to-night, and the act went with big applause. 12 minutes, full stage. KINETOGRAPH --- Fan Making in Japan. A very interesting Film. Custom Officers and Smugglers. Very beautiful Scenes. The Stormy Winds do Blow. It is a very funny NOTE --- A great show and I feel confident will draw big money, altho' very expensive. Owing to the cold audience here in the afternoon, I will wait hereafter the night show before sending out my reports, wishing to give both Managers and performers a fair chance before criticizing the acts. Lindsay Morison.
