19. HARLEM OPERA HOUSE CRITICISM EFROGERS February 18th, 1907 REDFORD & WINCHESTER: Well known, Comedy Jugglers. Business remains the same and secured some scattered laughs. Good opening act. 15 min. LeBRUN OPERA TRIO: 2 men and a woman. In scenes from "Il Trovatore." Pleasing voices. Handsome costumes. Applause throughout. An excellent act for the price. Good applause on the finish. 15 min. Open in one-closed full stage. KITAMURA JAPS: Well known. Big applause on their entrance. The various stunts of the Japs pleased immensely. The balancing of the little Jap in one crated a sensation. Tremendous applause. Compelled to take several bows. Applause hit of the show. 14 min.-full stage CARTER DeHAVEN & FLORA PARKER: Singing and Dancing number. Some advance applause. Woman is very dainty and makes several changes of costumes. Has pleasing voice. The man secured some few laughs for his comedy work. Their dancing is the strongest part of the act, which secured quite a big lot of applause. Compelled to take several bows on the finish. While this act pleased, they are greatly overpaid, Entirely too much money. 18 min.-full stage. Was under the impression that this act closed in one. They work entirely on full stage, an encore in one would depreciate the value of the act. for the price and alright for an early place on the bill, it has not the vim and dash as when played by Searl & Violet Allen. On account of being shy of acts in one, it is impossible to change their place on teh bill. 20 min. in one HOEY & LEE: Negotiated this spot in great shape. Pleased immensely. a Big hit. 17 min. THERESA RENZ & HORSES: Great act. Strongly applauyded throughout. 1 min KINETOGRAPH: "Willie Goodchild goes visiting his Auntie" Good comedy "He follows his father's footsteps" Novel-good
