31. Columbus, Ohio, Keith's : Week Feby. 25th. --07. W. W. Prosser. DIAMOND & SMITH. Illustrated songs with moving pictures. -- A very good set of the kind and a novelty here. -- Have good pictures but the singer has but a fair voice. -- 18 minutes in one. NORTON and NICHOLSON: -- Comedy Sketch: " Ella's All Right. " -- Man and woman. -- Theme: burlesque showing the troubles of a poor young couple in a flat. -- Many lines that get good laughs. -- this is a very good act for this house. -- Has lots of comedy both in the lines and as to action. -- 22 minutes interior room in flat. Miss IDA O'DAY: Quite a clever little woman who sings and plays banjo. Makes a nice appearance, the act is quiet and refined, and her work is appreciated unusually well here for a single wman act. -- Her voice is not anything to speak of but she plays exceedingly well on banjo. 13 minutes in one. THE O'KANE FAMILY: Japanese act composed of seven people. -- Nothing better has been seen on the local stage. -- Work consists of a great variety of tumblng, foot juggling, hand balancing etc. all of which is accomplished with remarkable cleverness. -- The act is the biggest sort of a hit and just the thing for Columbus. -- They used for the first time here today a new special set that is very beautiful and which adds greatly to the general excellence of their act. -- 16 minutes interior special set. WINDSOR MCCAY: Cartoonist: Draws pictures on blackboard very rapidly and very well. -- A very interesting act and one that made a most unqualified hit. -- 21 minutes in one. CAPT. GEO. AUGER & CO. -- In " Jack The Giant Killer/" A very entertaining version of the ever popular story. Five people in cast. -- This act makes good from the start and looks like a big winner here. Very well presented. -- Interior 23 minutes. FIELDS and WOOLEY: German Comedians: An act that is too long drawn out. Too much talk that does not make any especial impression. -- Ordered some of same cut as the act drags. -- Better in singing and dancing than conversation. -- Both have good dialects but waste time with 'gags' that fall flat. -- A fair act. 18 minutes in one. ZASELLE VERNON PANTOMIME CO: Quite a clever act and one that pleases: work in special exterior. -- Trick house etc. -- Lots of comedy by all parties throughout and the kind that pleases here. -- Not a great act but one that is good for Columbus. Went as well as could be desired. 15 minutes. PICTURES. -- The Drunken Mattress and Wonderful Album. -- fair.
