#2.-Phila. roller-skate falls all over the stage, but it keeps the audience in laughter. The last part of the act, the dancing on roller skates, is immense. It not only received big applause throughout, but five curtain calls. This act will certainly make up the coldest audience.-placed anywhere on the bill. HATHAWAY & SIEGEL, Wooden shoe & Voc:- 10 in. in 1. 2 shows. On at 8:22. Well known on the Circuit. Both work straight. Girl makes a rather pleasing appearance, sings quite well. The best part of the act is the wooden-shoe dancing of Hathaway which got the house very big. There is no doubt that an act of this kind is well liked by our audiences. Closed well with curtain ca WILFRED CLARKE & CO, "What Will Happen Next":- 15 min. F. S. 2 shows. On at 8:32. This act should be seen by every playwright who aspires to do a comedy in miniature for a Vaudeville house. Not only is the plot amusing, workmanlike and perfectly harmonious, but the situations and the rapidity of movement make it a winner from the very first and so on clean through a quarter hour': rousing laughter, right up to an uproarous close. Clarke is an artist, and he is well supported. The drama is beaufitully staged and will certainly be talked about this week. Two curtain calls. SPOOK MINSTRELS:- 21 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 8:50. Well known on the Circuit. Went about the same as usual. The pictures are not particularly distinct or beautiful, but the idea is novel and the vocal work is good. Good applause for each feature, and the close in one, in costume, brought two curtain calls. O. K. anywhere. Mme. THERESE RENZ, and Horses:- 13 min. F. S. 2 shows. On at 9:11. Well known. Advance applause. One of the most brilliantly artistic and entirely satisfying equestrian acts in the business. The applause was immense throughout, the ladies and children being as usual most enthusiastic. WELCH, MEALY & MONTROSE, "Play Ball":- 21 min. in 1. 2 shows. On at 9:34. This is a bundle of nonsense that went as strong as ever with us, perhaps as much as anything on account of the approach of the base-ball season. There was big applause through the act and the close was strong. Held down this difficult place without the slightest trouble. MASTER GABRIEL & CO., "Auntie's Visit":- 23 min. F. S. 2 shows. On at 9:45.Nothing need be said about this act save that it made good with all parts of the house, as it did a few weeks previously. The act is practically the same in all particulars, with the same people in the cast as when presented here before. It certainly makes a big hit with the children. Will draw strong with all parts of the house this week. Gabriel is another name for box-office prosperity here. KINETOGRAPH:- BUTCHER'S NIGHTMARE:- A grotesque and yet swift-moving and diverting film. HUGE TREES:- A pleasing travel series. THE GRAFTERS:- A comedy film a little above the standard with some few comical surprises. Altogether the KINETOGRAPH feature is O.K.
