69 Report on show, Keith's Theatre, Providence R. I., Week of March 25, 1907. (Chas. Lovenberg, Manager.) The show is uniformly quite good, some few of the acts might be improved upon a little, but there is nothing really bad from what we expect and it is a bill that will make good thoroughly. Belle Fairchild. Young woman impersonating child, also introducing a couple of straight songs, fairly well sung. Little act for the price is all right in an early spot in the continuous houses. 10 min. in 1, 3 shows. Siddon Bros. Comedy talking act and dancing. All right from a 3-a-day standpoint. They are inclined to stretch their act out a little bit too long, which will be remedied for the night show. Did 20 min. this afternoon in 1, 3 shows. Mabel's Animals. Little girl introducing Dogs, Monkeys, etc. Nice little turn for the 3-a-day houses or to open the show in the smaller two-a-day theatres. Also inclined to be a little too long, will cut down the time a little tonight. 17 in. full stage, 3 shows. Walter Hawley & Natalie Olcott. Can't say that this is really a bad act neither do I want to recommend it. In an unimportant place they get by all right, but probably gets a little bit too much money. I agree with Boston that it is rather coarse, there being too much drunken business in it. 18 min. in 2, can work in one, but I should say that it would hurt the act. 2 shows. Quaker City 4. These men got by with the audience better than I expected, in fact did quite well, altho I think their singing is quite weak. John Healey is the star of the aggregation. Act is all right to play about once in three years. 25 min. full stage, long close in one, 3 shows. Bessie Waldars Troupe. Six girls and one boy, bicyclists. An exceedingly good act, better than I expected; neatly costumed , and they do some very good riding. 18 min. full stage, 2 shows. Black & Jones. Colored comedians, singers and dancers. There is no talking in the act, but it is certainly a lively, gingery team. They made a big hit this afternoon. 11 min. in 1, 3 shows, altho it belongs in the 2-a-day class. "Motoring." This act needs no description, suffice to say it was a big laughing hit today, as usual. 15 min. in 3, 2 shows. Lillian Tyce. Irish songs. Miss Tyce has a good personality and gets away with four songs in good style, gaining considerable applause. This spot is a little bit hard for her, but it is just the kind of an act I wanted ahead of the dramatic act to follow. 13 min. in 1, 3 shows. Julius Steger & Co. In his well-known playlette "The Fifth Commandment". Excellently played by Mr. Steger and his little company and a tremendous hit. One of the biggest we ever had in the house. 27 min. full stage, 2 shows. Clifton Crawford. Mr. Crawford had a hard place here, as the pace set for him was pretty fast. The show ran late and really I don't think his act is lively enough to go so far down on the bill, and I am obliged to put him there be-
