Cleveland Show Week April 22nd, 1907. (F. Brandt) FLOOD BROS: Comedy Acrobats. Two men and assistant. This is really too good an act to open show with. They do 7 minutes full stage., and it is full of life from start to finish. Special drop. MISS EDNA LUBY: Imitation of stage celebrities. This young lady is rather good looking, but at the present time very amateurish in her imitations. She does imitations of Edna May very bad. Marie Dressler fair: Geo. Cohan, bad; Anna Held, is really the best thing she does. she closes her act singing poor Jogn which I suppose is an imitation of Vesta Victoria, as I have not seen her, but assure you if Miss Victoria does not do this song better she would not be entitled to the salary she is getting. 17 minutes in one. THE THREE KEATONS: Including "Buster". Repeating the same old act which is well known on the circuit. We have had some trouble here in regard to the 14 year child's law, so had Mr Keaton go very easy in throwing "Buster" around the stage. Act went pretty good in this spot. 16 minutes full stage. Close in one 11 minutes. The extra time in one was done in order to give us plenty of time to set the Sleede's Pantomime Co. Will cut this down to about 4 minutes. SLEEDE PANTOMIME CO: 3 men Unique Black Art Offering, entitled, "The Mysterious Hotel". This is one of the best acts of its kind we have ever played here, and I don't think any one can make a mistake in booking same. It is full of comedy from start to finish, and they are working hard every minute they are on. 11 minutes. Special set in black. YOUNG AMERICA QUINTETTE: Four men and one woman. This is a very good singing act, and probably up to this spot received the greatest amount of applause. Some of their comedy and jokes are rather ancient, but nevertheless went very good. 16 minutes in one. MR ROBT. HILLIARD: The distinguished actor and his company will present, "The Man Who Won The Pool", a one-act play, dramatized by Mr. Robt. Hilliard from Arthur Cosslett Smith's story. I was a little afraid that this act following Mr Thompson's sketch of a week ago would be handicapped, and was agreeably surprised at close when it received six curtain calls I thoroughly agree with former criticisms that this is one of the best sketches we have ever had, and to my mind it is the best thing that Mr Hilliard has ever done. Mr Hilliard is supported by 7 men who are just as clever in their parts as Mr Hilliard is. A great act, and should draw us some money. 29 minutes. Interior in two. LEW HAWKINS: "The Chesterfield Of Minstrelsy". Act well known on circuit and went very well this afternoon. He has quite a bit of new stuff. 16 minutes in one. FAMOUS JACKSON FAMILY: World's greatest troupe of cyclists. 4 men and 4 women of [???] as well. In some things their work is better and in others not as good, nevertheless it is an unusual good bicycle act. We have had quite a number of cycle acts this season, and when they came on to-day quite a number of people in the audience left. We are going to shift Sleede's Pantomime Company, which is new to Cleveland with the Jackson Family, and no doubt will make the show go better. 18 minutes full stage.
