UNION SQUARE CRITICISM WEEK OF MAY 13th, 1907. OVERTURE. "Village Orchestra." (Repeat) Big Hit. GREEN BROS. Straight and Comedy. Baseball Juggling act. Splendid opening act. All their stuff got good applause. Their rapid fire stunts are especially good. Three shows, 10 minutes, full stage. THALER SISTERS. Soprano and Contralto in English and German songs. Picturesque Viennese Costumes. Fair act for the money, but nothing great. Good finish. 11 minutes in one. KELSO & LEIGHTON. Man and woman in "The Lady Burglar." Man is a good dancer, and got a good hand. The woman's change to the male Burglar is good, and the dialogue got good laughs in spots. Very good three show act, and could stand a better place. 18 minutes, full stage. LOUISE BRUNELLE. Young woman rather Amateurish who opens with a long Waltz song that got a fair amount of applause. Her popular songs went well, and it is a rather refreshing three show act. 10 minutes in one. LAWSON & NAMON. Advance applause. Well known act. Tramp and assisted by fairly good looking woman in a funny and clever bag punching act. The woman's work is especially good. Closed to big applause with man's bicycle work. 13 minutes, full stage. 2 shows. MUSICAL AVOLOS. Two women and two men in the well known Xylophone act. The usual big hit. Great work, and a really valuable act. Terrific applause. 10 minutes in one. EMMA FRANCIS AND HER ARABS. Big advance applause. This sprightly little woman made her usual big hit. She is blessed with having a good voice as well as being a corking good dancer. Her two arabs of course are simply great, and the act deserves every bit of the big applause it received. 10 minutes, full stage, close in one.
