H. A. Daniels. Cleveland, Ohio. July 29, '07. MARTIN BROS. Two men, playing xylophones. Act is well known on the circuit. Made an excellent opener. Drop in one. 13 Minutes. CHEFFALO & CAPRETTA. Man and woman billed as "The Wizards in White." Their work consists of sleight of hand, palming and magic. The woman is quite good looking and does a number of tricks very cleverly. The man works hard. The act is thoroughly all right for the position on the bill. I understand he has changed it considerably and added a lot of new stuff. It will make good in any house in early spot. C. D. F. in three. 17 Minutes. VERDI OPERATIC QUARTETTE. Three men and a woman singing classical selections. Managed to do 16 Minutes in this spot on a hot afternoon. All their selections were applauded. Drop in one 16 Minutes. MR. &. MRS. ARTHUR FORBES & CO. Comedy sketch entitled "A Wild Rose." There are two men and a woman in this act, which is a corking good one. One of the best little sketches I have seen in months. Should make a hit anywhere. C. D. F. in three. 22 Minutes. BEN WELCH. Hebrew Comedian. The laughing hit of the show. Drop in one 17 Minutes. MAYME GEHRUE & CO. in "June". There are four men in the act, and not one of them is an actor. The sketch is not worth the money. If I had to pay it again, I would much rather have Miss Gehrue in a singing dancing specialty which is about all that she can do. She sings a couple of music publishers songs, among them "Idaho," which had been sung here three times a week for the last ten weeks, and every man and woman that sings it has probably received $25.00 a week from the publisher. I never want this act again at the price. Spec. Set. Full stage. 25 Min. COOPER & ROBINSON. Two real coons. This act is well known. It is always a hit. Drop in one. 16 Min. McPHEE & HILL. Sent me a wire at eleven o'clock this morning that they were in Pittsburg and could not reach here in time for the afternoon show. KINETOGRAPH. 194
