UNION SQUARE CRITICISM, WEEK OF JULY 29th, 1907. ZANA. This fellow does a very good act. All of his tricks are very good, and he works very fast. There is a little comedy in the act which is not bad. A very good three a day act for about $50.00. Went very well. 13 minutes, full stage, three shows. CALLAHAN AND SMITH. These boys do a very nice act. They are not much in singing, but they are very good dancers. I consider this a very good three a day act. Went very well. 14 minutes in one, Three shows. AL. LEVAN. Do not care so much for this act. His Hebrew character is only fair, and his Italian character is on Ben Welch's order. Only went fair. 16 minutes in one, Three shows. WHITMAN AND DAVIS. In "His Little Game." This is a fair act. Their opening is not so much, but their close is very good. Their finish went very well. 18 minutes, full stage, three shows. STELLING AND STELLING. This act I was forced to close. this is a very bad act. The man is a very poor juggler, and the woman is about the worst comedienne I ever saw. 17 minutes, full stage, three shows. KATHERINE NUGENT. This girl does a very good act, and because this being Monday she was a little nervous. Some of her impersonations are very good, especially the one on Anna Held which she does very well. I am sure that she would make good on any bill in the two a day section. Went very well. 12 minutes in one, two shows. CREMATION. For the money I am paying this act I think this is one of the biggest frosts I ever saw, and I was not made to take it, I would never have played it. 6 minutes, full stage. JOHNSON AND WELLS. I consider this, one of the best colored acts in the business, and always makes good. They were the hit of the show this afternoon. 14 minutes in one. STANLEY AND WILSON. This is a very good act. Plenty of good comedy. The woman has a very good voice, and the man's imitation of a clarionet is very good. Went very well. 19 minutes, full stage, and close in one about three minutes. 195 good singers, and had not been for these boys I would have been very shy on show, as they did about 25 minutes for me, and went very big. 25 minutes in one. THE CAMILLE TRIO. Comedy Bar Act. Considering the strain that these boys under which they worked this afternoon they went very well. They were forced to close after the first show, owing to severe injury of two of the boys. KINETOGRAPH. Lightning Sketches. Funny. Orby, the winner of the English Darby Race. Interesting. The Fatal Sneeze. Funny. REED ALBEE,
