their old act. The audience did not enthuse. At the evening performance it went a trifle better but I doubt if it will be acceptable. 16 minutes in one. PAT ROONEY & MARION BENT In their comedy singing and dancing skit "The Busy Bell Boy". Only played here a few months ago and today they scored the same success as before. 24 minutes full stage - close in one 5 minutes. SEVENTEEN HUMAN FLAGS The Frank D. Bryan's "Peace Congress of American Girls". The man taking Bryan's place could not be improved upon and I think he is as good if not better than the original. The girls look pretty, are perfectly drilled. In it's entirety the act is much better than last season as there are several extra marches introduced and the costumes are new and gorgeous. It is the only act in vaudeville that arouses the audience to a pitch of patriotic enthusiasm. At the afternoon performance they made a tremendous hit each number receiving big applause, in fact the noise was so great it was impossible to hear the singing. At the evening performance it went stronger than in the afternoon. Will have them close the show hereafter. Applause hit of the show. Open in one 3 minutes - close full stage - 15 minutes in all. GEORGE THATCHER & BANKS WINTER In the "Last of the Minstrels". The same act as presented last season with Chas. Ernest. Banks Winter was freightfully nervous, missed his lines and made a fiasco of the act. The going here was a little too strong this afternoon - changed their position for the evening performance and being more settled managed to go a trifle better. Presume before the week is out they will have the act whipped in shape. 22 minutes in one. PICTURES "Poor Little Mites" - Rather serious - looks fakey but passes by. "In an Arm-chair" - Forced comedy - fair.
