239. CRITICISM KEITH & PROCTOR'S 125TH STREET THEATRE SEPTEMBER 9, 1907. TORCAT French comedian. Quite an interesting act and sort of a novelty. All his various characters were strongly applauded. Fully capable of holding down a better place. 16 Minutes close in one 1 1/2 Minutes. MONROE, MACK & LAWRENCE Presenting the comedy "How to get rid of your Mother-in-law" Did not go as well as on former occasions probably due to the new man. Presume it will work smoother later on. Secured some few laughs with a forced curtain call. MAJESTIC TRIO 2/m 1/w. Colored singers and dancers. Good act at the price. Full of life. Big applause for the dancing. 19 Minutes in one. MARIE WAINWRIGHT Assisted by Alexander Frank, in the one-act farce "Our Baby". Well known. Very pleasing light comedy, interesting throughout. LOLA COTTON Regret to say that this little girl did not go so well today probably due to nervousness. At the afternoon performance the mathematical part of the act proved an absolute failure. At the evening performance she improved and went fairly well. 16 Minutes in one. SUTCLIFFE TROUPE 6/m 1/w. Quite a novel act and very pretty. A relief in any bill The acrobatic work and the dancing and also the musical end were applauded strongly. 10 Minutes full stage. Did fairly well considering her place on the bill. 18 Minutes in one. FUTURITY WINNER Well known, and certainly made good here today. The company is entirely new except Kingsley Benedict and the Colored boy. Applause hit of the show. 28 Minutes full stage. Kinetograph Two Thousand Miles Without a Dollar Good A Drunkard Will Drink Good
