247. Columbus Show Week Sept. 16th. -- 07. W. W. Prosser. SHIELDS & ROGERS: -- Two men in a very clever exhibition of rope and lariats. Their work is well executed and won favor throughout. -- The act is quite a novelty and pleased all patrons judging from the recognition it received. Rocky Pass -- 5. -- 12 minutes. MIGNONETTE KOKIN: Character songs and dances. -- Very good act which went well. -- Nothing strikingly new except the use of moving pictures during her changes of costume. -- 14 minutes in one. GALLETTI'S MONKEYS: Well known act. -- Suffice it to say that it won many laughs and proved its worth throughout. -- Terrace -- 20 minutes. THE NEW REPORTER: Five people: Three men -- two women. -- -- Singing and a little dancing: A crazy sort of an act that would be hard to class. A lot of nonsensical talk and "business". It went O. K. making quite a favorable impression. Street -- 17 minutes. NORTON & NICHOLSON: -- Comedy sketch "" Ella's All Right" -- An unusually good act and one that made a hit from start to finish. -- Both people are exceptionally clever, especially the woman who is an actress of decided ability. Many a laugh during the presentation of this act. Kitchen, 21 minutes. STELLA MAYHEW, BILLIE TAYLOR & CO: Comedy sketch: three people: two women one man. -- This act is evidently constructed for the purpose of allowing Miss Mayhew to avoid working in one. -- The story is that of a young man who is to received the fortune of a deceased Uncle provided he also accepts the wives. -- The Uncle it is made known was a Mormon. -- Miss Mayhew impersonates the two wives and an old colored mammy. -- He first character is that of an Irishwoman. -- This she does to the great delight of her audience introducing very successfully one talking song. -- The other wife, a tough girl is then 'done' by Miss Mayhew and she delineates the role in a manner that brings forth roars of laughter. -- For a finish the appears as a colored mammy. -- This character is also excellent. -- She has three songs, one for each character and they all went big. -- Mr. Taylor plays the part of the Heir in a satisfying manner and introduces one song that demonstrates him to be a vocalist of no mean order. -- Mrs. French, the remaining woman character is acceptably played by Laura Clement. -- The individual work of Miss Mayhew scored heavily, in fact we have had nothing here for a long or in fact at any time that went bigger. -- Am satisfied however that she would do just as well if working alone as there is not much intrinsic merit to the sketch which is entitled "It Happened In Utah." 24 minutes. C. D. F. Eight BEDOUIN ARABS: A cracking good troupe of acrobats who made a hit of the first class. -- They scored a terrific hit Monday afternoon. Garden 10 minutes. Picture: The Harlequins Story O. K.
