Report on Columbus Show Week Mch. 16th. --- 08. -- W. W. Prosser. KARTELLI: Novelty wire walker. -- He does some stunts that have been seen here before and quite a number that have not. -- He went excellently and could hardly be surpassed for an opener. Finished strong. 9 minutes Garden in 2. HENRY HORTON & CO. Rural sketch -- Uncle Lem's Dilemma -. An act presented by three people, two men, one woman. -- The work won laughs throughout and must be voted a success according to the judgment of the house today. 22 minutes kitchen. VASSAR GIRLS: An act that went from beginning to and finishing very strong. -- It seemed to please everybody and the electric was a distinct hit. -- Nothing wrong about this act here. 22 minutes special set. JULIAN ELTINGE: He must be credited with a distinct hit, receiving at the final several recalls. -- All of his work is neat and refined and he made a hit with everybody. -- He should create a lot of comment of a favorable nature. The best thing we ever had in the line of a female impersonator. 12 minutes Terrace in 2. BYRON & LANGDON: Man and woman in a screaming comedy variety act. The woman make a good appearance and the man as the Dude Detective was simply a howl. This act should be a great hit here. C. D. F. 18 minutes. QUINLIN & MACK: "The Travling Dentist. -- As I recall this act it went only fairly well last season but they have the honor of being the hit of the show this afternoon. -- I never heard an audience laugh harder or more continuously than did that of today. The act proved to be sure enough "One Long Laugh." Just before this writing they were on for the night show and from what I could hear they were going as well as this afternoon. 21 minutes Special set. Note: Their drop failed to get here on time for the matinee but its absence had no effect on the work. THE FOUR RIANOS: Novelty Comedy Acrobatic act. -- Three men one woman. This was a hard place for them owing to the preceding comedy but they got things coming O. K. and the act was a success. No fault to find with the work. Special set. 14 minutes. PICTURES: O. K. 13.
