TEMPLE DETROIT. MARCH 16, 1908. MORRIS & MORRIS. Burlesque acrobatic act on the order of the act of Bloxson & Burns, Collins & Hart, et al. Not a good act for this house, and very poor for an opening act. 11 min. FS. SWOR BROS. Very good blackface singing, talking and dancing act. One of the best acts of this kind we have had in a long period of time. 22 min. in one. ALMONT & DUMONT. Straight instrumental act, all in brass. Very good act of its kind. 13 min. FS. 5 min. in one. THE SLEEDE'S. English black art pantomime act. Very good act of this kind, and will be of considerable interest to the children. 9 min. FS. TERESE DORCEVAL. Magnetic little French woman, with a very sweet voice and charming ways. But she is overpaid for the work she does. She sang but two songs for us and took three bows. 8 min. in one, with piano. VALERIE BERGERE. With two men and two women, presenting her new act "The Morning After the Play." This is an excellent playlet, and Miss Bergere, as was to be expected played it well. 23 min. FS. JAMES J. MORTON. Brought us the same material but was a big hit notwithstanding. 16 min. in one. THE NOVELLOS. The most pretentious act of the circus variety we have ever played. It more than made good and will be talked about to a considerable extent. 12 min. FS. KINETOGRAPH. "The Pocket Boxers," and "The Two Terrible Kids" are excellent pictures.
