Phila.-2. they are very pleasing, and his absolute command of the stage and his audience win the crowd. The applause was very genuine. The finish was strong with two encores and curtain call. Think he will draw business with the evening audience. The papers very favorable to him this morning. SA HERAS, Mind-Rading:- 26 min. F.S. On at 9:47. Advance hand. This is an interesting act on the lines of the Zancigs (with variations) and has every appearance of being just as genuine. The audience was interested throughout and gave good applause. They particularly enjoyed the humor of the act. Think the Sa Heras will draw business this week as this is the first time we have had an act of this kind since the [paper damage here]. KITA BANZAI TROUPE, Jap.Entertainers:- 17 min. F.S. On at 10:13. Open in 1. KINETOGRAPH:- HEAVY WEIGHT'S RACE:- A funny French film. NORTHERN VENICE:- Beautiful travel pictures of Rotterdam. DOINGS OF A FOOL:-Held over for a second week.- Very good. BARRETT & SCALLEN, Com. Acro:- 11 min. F.S. On at 6:45. Two men, one works straight and the other eccentric comedy. Do regulation stunts with tables, chairs and barrels. Would make only a fair opener. THE BERKES:- Man and little boy:- 13 min. in 1. On at 6:56. There is very little in this act aside from the little boy's dancing. The vocal numbers were good. Closed with good hand after baritone solo, accompanied by little boy's dancing. COCCIA & AMATO:- "The Mixer and the Maid":- 12 min. F.S. On at 7:09. Carry their own drop representing the interior of a restaurant. Man in character of Italian drink-mixer and girl as soubrette in showy costume. The dancing numbers that follow are very spirited and novel. The pair work very hard and deserve good credit. This act is worthy of commendation. There are many two-a-day acts that fail to hold the crowd as strong as these people. GENERAL REMARKS:- This is a very classic show and seems to have struck the public and papers that way. There was no distinct falldown, except Long and Cotton, and one or two surprises. The papers seem to be divided as to who our headline feature is, whether Whelan, Friganza, Millward, Barnes or Sa Heras. However, that shows that they appreciated the bill in its entirety.
