(2) Wilfred Clarke and Company. On at 3.33, 15 min, full stage. One of the best farces vaudeville has ever known. A succession of shrieks and screams. Welch, Healey and Montrose. On at 3.48, 16 min, in 1. As they have not been here in nearly a year and have changed their act quite a bit, they more than made good this afternoon. It seems to me that some of the old stuff that has been cut out was better than some they are using now. Vasco, The Mad Musician. On at 4.04, 20 min, full stage. Although this is his fourth appearance in Boston within a year, it is his first engagement in that house, and he scored heavily. To enable us to make a re-arrangement of the bill, he has volunteered to work in 1 the remainder of the week. This he does by having his assistant hand him his instruments as he uses them. I feel that he will be even more of a hit working this way than in full stage with his instruments all set. He tells me that he has tried it before, and intends to work altogether in 1 another season. Kinetograph. On at 4.24, 24 min. "Easter Eggs", a pretty colored film. "London Regattas and Exhibitions"; quite interesting. "Orderley Janson"; a very good comic. Alexandra and Bertie. On at 4.48, 11 min, full stage. An extremely good aerial act, one deserving a fairly prominent place on any program. This act seems to have been overlooked, probably for the reason that it is booked in conjunction with Vasco, and is only figured at a hundred dollars. We have paid two hundred for many an act not so good. The Clevelands. On at 4.59, 13 min, in 1; 3 shows. Just a fair singing and dancing act. Good only as a 3-a-day for us. Conlon and Hastings. On at 5.12, 24 min, full stage; can close in 1, if necessary; 3 shows. If these people would take the fat parts of their act out and condense it to about 16 min., they would be O.K. for any of the smaller 2-a-day houses. A present the time they do makes them particularly valuable for the continuous theatres. Cuts:- Leonard and Drake. "Hereafter in --:. Welch, Healey and Montrose. Requested to refrain from suggestions of the word "Hell". Instructed to use the word "Meat" instead of "Liver". The Clevelands. "Bare feet" squib. Comment. Money invested considered, this is a corking good show. The re-arrangement, which follows, should add to its smoothness and to its pleasing qualities. A Overture B Leonard & Drake C Ferreros & Dog D Elsie Faye & Boys E Alexandra & Bertie F Sam williams G La Maze Brothers H Jennings & Renfrew I Night With Poets J Welch, Healey & M.
