(2) William Rock and Maude Fulton. On at 3.04, opwn in 1 3 min, full stage 21 min, close in 1 6 min; 50 min in all. One of the hits of the season, if not THE hit of hits. It takes something out of the ordinary to stir up our Monday bunch, but these people certainly did it today, as I have seldom seen it done. A reall vaudeville act. Happy are we that we have this act for two weeks. Harry Gilfoil. On at 3.51, open in 1 3 min, 10 min full stage, close in 1 7 min; 20 min in all. The opening in 1 was done as a favor, and was a success. Our patrons consider Gilfoil one of the greatest entertainers in vaudeville, and he never fails to prove a drawing-card in Boston. Another one of today's hits. Sidney Drew and Company. On at 4.11, 21 min, full stage; special set. Playing "Billy's Tombstones", as good a sketch as we have ever had. We thought Mrs. Drew would be able to resume her place in the cast today, but she was still too ill to work. She is greatly missed in the act by anyone who has ever seen her play her part, as she seems to have added an indescribable something to the entire sketch. Miss Keenan probably does as well, as her substitute, as anyone could. The act held the closing position to our entire satisfaction. Kinetograph. On at 4.32, 23 min. "The Black Princess"; a picture-melodrama that has some very good scenes, and in its entirety is certainly a wonderful piece of photography. "The Thirsty Moving Men"; a fair comic. Zarrell Brothers. On at 4.57, 10 min, full stage; 3 shows. These boys have improved considerably since they were last here. They rank well up with the Latell Brothers and Bellclair & Kramer, but lack somewhat in appearance. However, at from $80-100, the act is wonderful value. Another chance for Mr. Tucker to get in his work with one of his blue option blanks, as the act will make good in anybody's show. Sanford and Darlington. On at 5.07, 16 min, in 1; 3 shows. Man and woman in a little of everything. O.K. as a 3-a-day, and will make good in many of the smaller houses. Cuts:- Manley and Sterling. Mention of "Three Weeks". Tom Jack Trio. Requested not to use their xylophone, as it was not in tune. Sanford and Darlington. "Negroes" and "Affinity cocktail" squibs. Also spitting. Comment. A rattling good show, one that would undoubtedly do capacity business in the season, and should come pretty near making a record for May, which is about our worst month in the year.
