-2- Foster and Foster. On at 2.54, 10 minutes, full stage, seven minutes close in one, 17 minutes in all. This well known team scored strongly this afternoon and are capable of making a hit on any bill. However, $200 is all they are worth, and I fail utterly to see why they should be raised to $250 next season, the figure they are now demanding, particularly as they are doing the same act they did a year ago. XX1 Frosini. On at 3.11, 11 minutes in one. A tremendous hit. This man can go on any spot in any show and "clean up". He should surely be routed next season. I will be only too pleased to play him two weeks in Boston. XX1 Gaudsmidt Brothers. On at 3.22, 8 minutes, full stage. A great acrobatic act that is helped out considerably by the two handsome French poodles used in it. It is fast from start to finish, every second counting in the action. Of such a nature that it could close almost any show. XX1 Laddie Cliff. On at 3.30, 17 minutes in one. This boy repeated the tremendous hit he made on his former visit to Boston. He is one of the most valuable entertainers that we have in one to-day and it seems to me that he should certainly be secured for next season, for it looks as though acts in one of his calibre, are not going to be particularly plenty. XX1 Romany Opera Company. On at 3.47, 55 minutes, full stage. This is the [illegible] Romany Opera Company of last season, increased to 21 people. The company has been engaged as a special summer feature, to present the gems from well known operas. A change in programme will be made each week. I do not wish to pass final judgment on the company from this afternoon's performance, for it is not as good a performance as I saw them give in Newport, three weeks ago. It looks, however, as though in "Faust" they have bitten off more than they can chew this week. Will make a special report on this later, possibly in next week's review. XX Kinetograph. On at 4.42, 24 minutes. "In the country of the Bigoudens," an extremely interesting travel picture, which shows that the land of the Bigoudens is Brittany. "The Blue and the Gray," an interesting picture of the kind applause type. Cuts. Henry Clive and Co. Instructed to omit remark concerning clergymen and cards. Comment. An excellent show. Every one of the regular vaudeville numbers more than made good, while several of them are in the "riot" rank.
