CASTING DUNBARS. 10 min. Full Stage. Comedy casting act. Well known and worthy of praise. Went very big with the comedy. The acrobatic work on the double-horizontal bar and the bounding mat is skilful and as interesting as ever. Won out big as ever. ELINORE SISTERS. "It Was a Good Show, But --" Well known on the circuit, and their usual hit. The line of talk is new. Although it has a title, it is merely a vehicle to give Kate Elinore a chance to get off her funny answers to her sister's questions and in her own inimitable manner. She appears first in grotesque Indian costume, afterwards in a burlesque ballet with long skirts. Think the material of the act is really better than that used previously. It certainly went very strong and brought up to a big finish. 17 min. in one. MC INTYRE AND HEATH. "The Man from Montano." 33 min. F. S. Big advance applause. This act, it is unnecessary to say, was a riot of fun every minute of time. An act that could fill any house anywhere, for it is great. KINETOGRAPH. L. MOOSE HUNTING AND SALMON FISHING. An interesting travel series that will certainly be talked about. We are greatly indebted to Boston for this set of moving pictures. II. The Prince of Wales. Beautifully photographed and really of great historical and educational value. III. The Little Magician. An amusing French series. FRANK J. PARKER & BRO. Hotel Room in Mid-Air. 15 min. One man works straight, the other black-face comedy. The latter is merely a helper to the acrobat, who juggles bedroom furniture, including lamps, glasses, bureau-drawers, bureau, beds, etc. Received good applause. This is a novel two-a-day act and should make a good opener in the early two-a-day. MC LAIN SISTERS. 9 min. in one. This is a good three-a-day act. The girls make a good appearance, whereas their singing is not so very much, their dance is good and their act is sprightly. Can be recommended for a fair spot in the three-a-day section. GORMAN AND WEST. 14 min. in three. These people have been playing "A Special Meeting" for a number of years, and today gave us an act composed of singing, dancing and a little patter in its place. They were both very nervous and the act as presented this afternoon was very crude. Will let them keep at it, and if it improves during the balance of the week, will make a supplementary report. GENERAL REMARKS. This is a good show that certainly ought to be talked about from one end of the town to the other. There is not a weak spot even in the three-a-day section (with the possible exception of "Gorman & West" which is more crude than lacking actual merit) and some of the numbers actual surprises, for instance, Adeline Dunlap and Co., which newspaper men claim to be the best heart-interest playlet ever seen here; Edgar Allen & Co., which is fun throughout, Sam Williams. By transposing, the Elinore Sisters act will come before Mc Intyre & Heath, for the reason that nobody on earth in the comedy line could ever follow them. They will close the show for the balance of the week. If vaudeville patrons do not appreciate this show, we miss all our guesses.
