PITTSBURG, PA. GRAND OPERA HOUSE. Sept. 21st, 08. FRANK PARKER & CO. 17 min. Interior. Heavy Weight Juggler. This is a good act for the three a day section. LEONARD & DRAKE-3 shows. Singing, talking and imitations. Olio. 9 min. Only fair. BIMM, BOMM, BRRR- 17 min., closing 5 min. olio in one. Garden. Novelty Musical Trio. I think this act alright on any bill up to 8:30. Would not care to play them much later. BURTON & BROOKS-19 min. Interior. Closing in one 7 minutes. These gentlemen tried a new talking act on Monday afternoon which was very bad. I had them go back to their old act and they are doing very well. SIX LITTLE GIRLS & TEDDY BEAR-14 min. Garden, closing in one 3 min. This act never commences and if I had it for $250 less I would feel that I had been cheated. There is absolutely nothing to the act and I cannot see how it ever got by the first week. LAVEEN-CROSS & CO.- Roman Sports and Pastimes. 16 minutes, special. There is absolutely no necessity for the big production these people carry and were they to simply do their act at about $200 it would be much better. The work of Laveen & Cross is exceptionally good, being almost as good as the Bellclaire Cros. WINONA WINTER-16 min., olio. Going very big. I know of no one that plays for us who receives more applause than Miss Winter. THOS. E. SHEA & CO. IN "The Bells", 32 Min., special. The production of Mr. Shea is very good. The act, of course, is dramatic and holds the attention of the audience throughout. Mr. Shea receives good advance applause and finishes with 3 and 4 curtains. I am sure that he has drawn us some money. JOHNSON & HARDY-17 minutes, street. Singing comedians. Better than anything of the kind we have ever played. A big hit at every performance. WILL ROGERS-12 minutes, full stage, wood. Lariat throwing. I think the novelty of Mr. Roger's act has about worn off. While he does practically the work he has done on his previous visits here, our patrons do not seem to have the same interest and I am sure we do not want to play him again. REESE BROS.- 11 min. Garden, close in one. Colored acrobats, singing, talking and juggling batons. 3 shows. A good act for the 3 a day section. A little rough and would not recommend it after two or eight o'clock. John P. Harris.
