Report on Columbus Show week Oct. 12th. -- 08. W. W. Prosser. IRENE La TOUR: Quite a neat little contortionist who made a very good impression for an opener. -- The various stunts by herself and with the aid of Zaza her trained dog won applause and the act finished very nicely. 9 Minutes Terrace in 2. FROSINI: (Wizard Of The Accordeon.) This fellow is an artist and he went big. His execution is remarkable and he was fully appreciated. Finished strong. 13 minutes in one. DIXIE SERENADERS: (Colored) Four men, two women. Open landscape in 4 close in one. Both full stage and finish of act is made up of singing and dancing all of which is good. The ensemble singing is the best part of the act, the solos fair and the talk could well be dispensed with altogether as it is a waste of time. The act got by very well and was far from a disappointment. 23 minutes CHAS KENNA: In his well known specialty, The Fakir. -- Was nervous about him early in the act but he finally got them and proved to be much better to the liking of the house that at first I thought he would. The finish was O. K. 17 minutes in one. FLORENCE GALE & CO. (Sketch: The Girl Who Dared.) This act came about as near being a decided frost as I care to have. It is long drawn out and it was evident that many people simp[ly] were respectful but not particularly interested. There was practically no demonstartion at the finish except a few scattered hand. -- It may pick up during the week and I hope so for the act was highly touted in advance. 23 minutes Oak interior. PAULINE HALL: Her first and second songs just got by and that was all. Her costume for the third however seemed to help to some extent. She worked hard but there is no denying the fact that she is no longer a singer and shape will be about the only thing that will bring them to see her. 9 minutes olio in one. ROSSOW MIDGETS: They do the same old act and it proved quite acceptable the sparring match went especially well. They finished strong. PICTURES: O. K. COMMENT: As above the show is weak during the latter half to remedy which it will run tonight as follows: LaTour, Frosini, Florence Gale, Pauline Hall, Dixie Serenaders, Chas Kenna, Rossow Midgets.
