Report on Columbus Show week Oct. 19th. -- 08. W. W. Prosser. THE RAVEN TRIO: Two men and a woman in a very good equilibrist act. While there is nothing startling in the work it is all of interest and it held the attention throughout. -- The little woman is quite modest in her demeanor and this gives the act extra value. -- There was scattered applause throughout and the finish was strong. 10 minutes Palace in 4. ED GRAY: "The Tall Tale Teller." -- They did not seem to understand him for a little while but his very pleasing was of humoring them until they caught on won them over and then the laughs were frequent and he must be given credit for making good in no uncertain way. I think he will go much better during the week and that he will prove thoroughly satisfactory. -- 14 minutes Landscape in one. Estelle Wordette & Co. "Honeymoon In The Catskills." -- One of the few sketches that have ever made good in this house. -- The laughs are many, spontaneous, and the act was in every way a distinct hit. Wish I could get more as good for this place. 20 minutes fancy interior. HELENA FREDERICK: A girl who makes a good appearance and who sings very well. -- She had a hard time this afternoon but finally won out. Not a great big hit but a satisfactory act and no fault to be found. Another number that will go better during the week. --She is on now (Night show) and the finish of her first song is much stronger than this afternoon so I feel that she will be O. K. in every way. 12 minutes in one. KELLY & BARRETT: Travesty: "The Battle Og Too Soon." -- This act is out of the ordinary and it more than pleased, in fact was a substantial hit. 15 minutes Special in four. MATHEWS & ASHLEY: In "Held Up." -- These boys were the hit of the show and went great. -- This act is much better here than the old one and they are both as clever as can be. 20 minutes special in one. RAYFAYETTES: Trained dogs and one of the best acts of the kind we have ever had. -- All of the tricks were well received and the applause at the finish was strong. Garden in 4 12 minutes. PICTURES: O. K. COMMENT: This show in its entirety in superior to many I have had at considerable more money.
