REPORT ON PROVIDENCE SHOW, WEEK OF NOVEMBER 9th, 1908. Charles Loveenberg, Manager. The bill this week is one of the most satisfactory we have had this season, every act making good. Kathryn Roth Songs and trombone playing. A good little set for an early spot. 12 Min. in One, 3 shows. Honey Johnson Colored comedian. Alright for 3 shows and with some new material would be pretty good. 12 Min. One, 3 shows. Gracey Musical act. Described by Philadelphia. Made tood in this spot. 12 Min. F. S. 3 shows The Coyt Trio One man and two dogs. A mighty valuable act. Could open any show in the world and go on number 3 in the smaller two-A-day houses. 10 Min. in Two, closing in One. On a pinch could do entire act in One. 3 shows. Geo. Armstrong Singing comedian. This chap has a good personality, good voice and good songs. Pleased thoroughly this afternoon. 12 Min. in One, 2 shows. Reynolds & Donegan This act was a little disappointing, altho it is quite good. To my mind, it is not worth the salary. 13 Min. F. S. 2 shows. Scott & Wilson Acrobatic comedians. Well-kinown act. Held its own first-rate. 12 Min. in One, 2 shows. Bert Coote & Co. Comedy sketch, "A Lamb on Wall Street", which scored altho there is lots of room for improvement in Mr. Coote's company. 20 Min. F. S. 2 shows. Heim Children Here is an actual discovery. Because of the hit they made and because of their clever work I have moved them to this spot from fourth on the bill. With a little stage management this could be made one of the best sets in the business. The boy is a natural comedian and they have splendid voices. I should advise getting them under a contract for as many houses as can play children QUICK - before their salary goes up. 12 Min. in One, were booked for three shows, but I am having them do only two. Cartmell & Harris Comedy sketch, introducing some exceptionally clever dancing which is the feature of the skit. Scored a hit. 17 Min. open F. S. Close in one. 2 shows. Picure Trio Three boys in one of the best hand-to-hand balancing sets we have ever played. Some very unusual tricks and most astonishing. Could make a big hit in any position on the bill. 10 Min. F. S. 2 shows. Julius Tannen Well-known monologuist who scored his usual hit. 20 Min. in One. 2 shows. Thos. E. Thos & Co. In a condensed version of "The Bells". A splendidly mounted and well played set. One of the most satisfactory headliners, from every standpoint, we have ever had 35 Min. F. S. 2 shows. Motion Pictures Including one of Annette Kellermann in feats of swimming taken at Brighton, England, with an interesting lecture by Miss Justine Redmond, which seemed to interest the audience. This is given the week previous to Miss Kellermann's appearance here and makes a good advertising feture as well as a pleasing number.
