Saving...
Arturo Bernardi. On at 3.45, 10 minutes full stage, special set, 9 minutes in one, close 7 minutes full stage, special with our audience this afternoon, judging from the applause, and also the comments heard after the show. It is certainly an out-of-the ordinary turn and one that will make a lot of talk. XX1 Gillette and MacFarlane. On at 4.11, 18 minutes in one. Practically the same act they did last season with the exception that it is all done in one.. Went extremely well to-day and I think they will make good on any bill. XX1 Cressy and Dayne. On at 4.29, 23 minutes full stage, special set. Playing "Town Hall To-night." The same old hit. I regret extremely that they are not to be here for at least three weeks. Very great favorites in Boston. XX1 Kinetograph. On at 4.52, 23 minutes. "The Savannah Race"-- An excellent automobile picture. "Bicycle Polo"--A fair subject. Cuts. Willie Weston - "Buttoned in Back" story. "Marriuch" song. "Son-of-a-gun" and "O God." Comment, A peculiar sort of a show, but one that seemed to please very much this afternoon. It would be a better show without the Devoy act. By this I do not intent to imply the act is no good, because as I have before stated, I consider it a capital offering. It is simply a case where it could be spared and not missed, for there is a surfeit of sketches, as Bernardi is on the sketch order as well as Cressy and Dayne.
