KEITH'S-HIPPODROME. Cleveland, Ohio. Ned S. Hastings. Jan 25th, 1909. MIEZKOFF-SANDERS TROUPE. 3 women, 2 men. Time 9. F.S. Garden. Energetic and lively Russian dancing in Cossack costumes. Went very well. HARRY B. LESTER. In 1. Time 20. Songs, stories, impersonations and a little dancing. Neat and clever work, scoring well. Not overly strong, but all good. JEAN MARCEL'S LIVING ART STUDIES. See last week's criticism. 2nd week here. 6 changes. Act drawing and going well. 21 min. FADETTES OF BOSTON. Caroline B. Nichols and 19 young lady instrumentalists. F.S. Time 21. This orchestra has always been a big favorite here. Their present repertory inclines rather more to the strictly classical, with fewer "popular" numbers than on their former local visits. Mae MELVILLE & HIGGINS-Robert. In 1. Practically same costumes as last year. Time 20. Their nonsensical chatter and songs go locally with a bang. A big hit at the Monday matinee. Very smooth. VALERIE BERGERE & HER COMPANY. 2 men 2 women. "His Japanese Wife." Judging from the great reception she receives, Miss Bergere's local "vaudeville-stock" engagement is proving a great success. "The Jap Wife" is considered here, her best role. Time, 28. BIG CITY QUARTETTE. All men. In 1. Time, 17. Chiefly straight singing with a little effective comedy, solos and ensembles. A well balanced quartette. Distinct hit. DUFFIN-REDCAY TROUPE. F.S. Special bar apparatus. Time, 11. Aerial casting bar act. One of the best ever seen here. In addition to general good work throughout, ther have a triple somersault and a "loop the loop" cast that are thrillers of the first water.
