GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURG, PA., FEB. 8th, 09. MIMIC FOUR- 16 minutes, open full stage, interior, closing in one six minutes. A singing and talking sketch. Undoubtedly the worst act we have ever had. Was compelled to put it in the supper show and put a $75.00 act in its place. JANE COURTHOPE & CO. in "Lucky Jim". This act opens in full stage, then to special drop in one, closing in full stage. A very good sketch that goes big. A fine setting and one of the cleverest boy actors we have ever played. I think Miss Courthope is very bad and Mr. Forrester just gets by. The star of this act is undoubtedly the boy. GEIGER & WALTERS-16 minutes, street. Miss Walters is a very bad singer while the work of Mr. Geiger is really great. However, the act goes very big. THE TRAPNELL FAMILY-10 minutes, wood. "Europe's foremost Lady Acrobats & Tumblers" Never played anything nearly so good, in this line. IRENE FRANKLIN & BERT GREEN- 22 minutes, interior. I consider Miss Franklin the best in her line and I wish we had a few more as clever. THE NAPANEES-26 minutes, full stage. Schoolroom scene. Singing, dancing and talking. This act is not nearly so good as Gus Edwards' Schoolboys and Girls and I personally do not see much merit to it but it has been a big hit with our patrons and for this reason I would play them a return next season. BERT LEVY- 16 minutes, Interior. "Novelty Cartoonist". Mr. Levy is playing another farewell. He is doing very well for us. BOBBY NORTH-16 minutes in one. I am sorry to say that Mr. North has been a failure with us during this engagement. Never, at any performance, has he made good and I do not think there is any one in the business who has ever tried harder than he has this week. THE ZAMETTOS- 12 minutes, palace, Novelty Jugglers. No question but what this act has gone back. I am sure we would not care to play them a return. John P. Harris.
