Report on Columbus show for week of March 8th. W. W. Prosser. MARSEILLES: "A Study in Black and White". An excellent contortionist who made a distinct hit. The act is really unusually clever. Finished strong. Six minutes, special set in 2. FRANCO PIPER: Novelty banjoist. Well known act that scored a hit of the most positive kind. In addition to doing a corking good and very entertaining act this gentleman volunteered to, and did, work in one, which was a big lift to me with my present show. The act went big. 13 minutes, oleo in one. CLAUDE & FANNIE USHER: In "Fagin's Decision." A Comedy dramatic sketch by a wonderfully clever team. They got the attention of the audience at the very first and hold it without the slightest trouble to the finish. There are a lot of spontaneous and well earned laughs in the act together with a slight vein of pathos. One of the very best sketches we have had here for a long time. 30 minutes, C. D. F. LA PETITE REVUE: This act scored heavily from beginning to end. The idea caught on with the house big and at the finish there were six or seven curtains. There is no question but that the act was an unqualified hit. 20 minutes, special set in 2. CLIFFORD & BURKE: In "The Lawn Fete". This is the best act these boys have ever given us. No possible fault to find. 23 minutes, street in 1. AVON COMEDY FOUR: Comedy quartet presenting about the same act they did the last time here. They won a lot of laughs and their singing was especially well received. Finished strong. Kitchen in 3, 16 minutes. MABEL HITE & MIKE DONLYN: In a skecth "Stealing Home". Both of them received an ovation upon their appearance. Donlin was compelled to take several bows upon his first entrance. The names of the two people are about all there is to the act. Hite sings one song and Donlin does little or nothing. They attracted the attention of the fans, however, and I think they will prove an excellent drawing card. Got away very well at the finish. C. D. F., 20 minutes. MOTION PICTURES: O. K.
