KEITH'S HIPPODROME. Cleveland, Ohio. Ned S. Hastings. April 5th, 1909. PAUL LE CROIX. In 1 Time, 10. One of the best stiff hat jugglers ever seen here. Comedy great. Good for any spot in 1 on the bill. PEARL & YOSCO. 2 men. Italian laborer costumes. Time 20. Harp, cellos and singing. Very good. Big applause. "BIRDLAND." 6 men, 5 girls. Time 18. Special fantastic woods F.S. Musical comedy oddity in which the characters dress in feathery costumes representing various birds. This is the best Lasky act of the season. There isn't a slow minute. The comedy is above the average, and the singing, especially that of Miss Constant Farmer and Miss Grace Ellsworth, is excellent. The songs are catchy. LIZZIE EVANS & JEFFERSON LLOYD. C.D.F., Time 17. An impossible spetch played in an impossible way, by evident amateurs. They give the audience a good many unconscious laughs. SIX MUSICAL NOSSES. Special F.S. 4 girls, 2 men. Time 18. A striking costume musical act of highest excellence. Playing, singing and drills, the very best. A big act and very enthusiastically received. BARRY & WOLFORD. Man and woman. In 1. Time 13. Unquestionably the hit of the show. Very clever topical songs, well put over the footlights. Bright and crackling. CARTMELL & HARRIS. Man & woman. Open C.D.F. close in 1 for 5 min. Total time 19. As a dancing act in 1, this would be an excellent offering. There is no excuse for F.S. Their comedy and singing is mediocre, and the act is easily 6 minutes too long. CAVALLERIA RUSTICANA. Local production. Hammerstein would turn green with envy if he could see and hear it.
