KEITH'S HIPPODROME. H. A. DANIELS. Week of APR. 19, 1909 SIGNOR ARCARIS & WIFE, knife throwers. Not in vaudeville. LAPO & BENJAMIN, two men, comedy acrobats. Finish with dive from platform fifteen feet high. Good small act. I booked them in from Columbus. FRANK B. MILLER, bare-back hurdle rider. After rehearsing all last week, the act went quite well. VAN CLEVE, DENTON & PETE, see last weeks report. POWER'S HIPPODROME ELEPHANTS, see last weeks report. FRANK MILLER & CLARA BELLE, carrying act. Man rides bareback on two horses carrying girl on his shoulder. Act rehearsed here last week. Went well. HASSAN BEN ALI ARABS, everybody knows the act. MIACO, the clown, sent on here from New York to work up some stuff. He did quite well. FLYING MARTINS, see last weeks report. ROBERTI'S BEARS, DOGS AND MONKEYS, just a fair act? Did twelve minutes. BROS. DAMM, arrived here sore because they were not told it was a circus. Refused to do but half their act. As De Renzo and Ladue did not arrive here from New York and as I was short on time, I had to put up with a good deal of talk. MARLO TRIO, one woman, and two men, very good aerial act. Deserves applause. FOUR [BALCUS?], some excellent straight acrobatic work, requiring great strength. Good act. LA TITCOMB, Considering the fact that we are paying $500, transportation and are feeding the horses, I think that this act should have been looked into before it was booked in here. This woman is doing three or four minutes of her original act. She has cut out here singing and says she cannot sing with a band, and she has cut out all of her posing because she cannot use her black drop in the tent. The horse comes in and prances around a little and walks out. Rather expensive prancing. As I was told to feature the act, and did so, I couldn't very well close it on Monday for it was the only new act I had that amounted to anything. DE RENZO & LADUE, - did not show up. RENARD TRIO, one man and two women working on a vertical pole with a finish somewhat like the Curzon sisters. Great act. ARMINTA & BURKE, acrobatic clown assisted by a woman. work on horizontal bar, after Monday afternoon I put them up to open the show. ALBER'S POLAR BEARS, see last week's report.
