CHASE'S WASHINGTON Week Aug. 23rd, 1909 THE FLYING MARTINS A splendid opening number, boys work fast and create much enthusiasm. Full stage. SULLIVAN and PASQUELENA Co. "A C. O. D. Package". Held this position satisfactorily, securing many laughs. Open and close in one. WARREN and BLANCHARD Furnished much amusement but do not seem to secure as much bright, new material and songs as they should. In one. EDMOND STANLEY and Co. "Love's Garden". A good one-act opera presented by competent people with good voices and of good appearance. The hit of the bill. Full stage. INTERMISSION RAYNO'S BULL DOGS One of the very good dog acts but did not work so smooth her this afternoon as I have seen them, probably on account of having laid off for some weeks. Full stage. THE GREAT LESTER Probably one of the best of the ventriloquists, did well here, but if Morris had all of them we could still keep open. In one. Wm. H. MACART & ETHLYNNE BRADFORD. "A Legitimate Hold-Up". Mr. Macart opens in one with about the same monologue he gave us last season, then to full stage where he is well supported by Miss Bradford. Act contains no particularly new elements of interest but can be classed as a pretty good dramatic sketch. THE AMERICAN VITAGRAPH "An Inspiring Sunset" and "The Infant Terrible". The former is a very beautiful colored picture and the latter a good comedy subject. H. Winnifred De Witt, Manager.
