PITTSBURG, PA. GRAND OPERA HOUSE. AUGUST 23d, 09. REED & ST. JOHN TRIO- Musical act. 17 minutes, full stage, interior. Two ladies and one gentleman. Very well dressed but just gets by in the opening position. FENTELLE & CARR- "Out Loud Junction". 18 min., special drop in one. A fair singing and talking act but I would not care to play them later than number two on the bill. BERT HOWARD & EFFIE LAWRENCE In "The Stage Manager" 20 min. Full stage, closing in one. Miss Lawrence is a very clever girl. The comedy of Mr. Howard is painful until he gets to the piano. His work there is a big hit. EMMA FRANCIS & ARABS-"Novelty of Singing, Dancing and Acrobats". 12 minutes, full stage, closing in one 3 min. This act is always a big hit with us. WILFRED CLARKE & CO. "Too Much Trouble". 16 min., full stage-interior. Going very big. This act is a scream from start to finish. HARRY FOX & MILLERSHIP SISTERS-"Artistic Nonsense". 18 min. in one. Singing, dancing and talking act. I consider Mr. Fox a very clever comedian; Millership Sisters very good dressers, fair dancers and singers. The act is very neat and taking it as a whole, it is a big hit. DAZIE- 19 minutes-opening in one special drop, closing full stage, special set. Seven people. This is a very clever pantomime-entirely out of the ordinary-beautiful setting, several clever people, and I am sure that the act will draw money. LEW HAWKINS- Street in one, 15 minutes. Black face monologue. Doing very well. FOUR IDANIAS. "Novelty Gymnastic Act". 9 min., full stage. Four young ladies. The work of these young ladies is better than anything of the kind I have ever see by women. JOHN P. HARRIS.
