BIJOU THEATRE, Woonsocket, R.I. Monday, Sept. 6---Matinee. Weather, Fair and cool; business big. No. 1---Overture, 3 min. No. 2--- Reel No. 1. 16 minutes. No. 3---Reel No. 2. 16 minutes. No. 4---Reel No. 3. 17 minutes. No. 5---FISHER & FISHER. Went big. Two men in bicycle act. Good comedians both and got lrts of laughs by rough and tumble comedy efforts. The riding is good, both on bicycles and unicycles. An act admirably suited to audiences that like the boisterous kind of comedy. Full stage. Time, 15 minutes. No. 6---DUNN SISTERS. Went well. Two young ladies in a most pleasing singing and dancing act. Well dressed, one as a boy during part of the act. Not a great act but one that does nicely in an early position. In one. Time 12 minutes. No. 7---GEORGE WINFIELD & CO. Went big. Comedy sketch "Am I Your Wife." A neat sketch worked previously by other vaudevillians. Full of clean cut comedy lines which bring natural laughs. Act is well played by Mr. Winfield and a lady, the third character being a "supe" at the finish. Full stage. Time 18 min. No. 8---CARYL MUNROE. Went well. Good little comedienne with catchy songs and entertaining talk. In eccentric costume of "A Country Blossom". In one. Time 10 minutes. No. 9---JOE CAREY. Went well. Monologuist with a line of talk that is peculiar but which gets an audience going. Eccentric make up. Songs good. In one. Time 17 min. No. 10---MILTAIR. Went well. Novelty musical act. Musical numbers, aside from the drumming not so much, save as they illustrate epochs in the country's history. Act full of patriotic effort, flags, etc. to catch applause. Well carried out. Uses sheet for pictures. Full stage. Time 15 minutes. NOTE---Three reels of pictures in opening show made necessary by non-arrival of baggage of Winfield and Dunn Sisters, who came by boat from Bangor.
