Keith's Hippodrome. Cleveland, Ohio. Oct 4th 1909 Ned Hastings. FRED ZOBEDIE. 4 palace. Time 9. With male assistant. Special apparatus. Hand walking, balancing and contortion. Just fair. COOK & SYLVIA. Man and woman. In 1. Time 11. Singing fair. woman useless. Man's wooden sole buck dancing a great feature and a big hit. McINTYRE & GROVES 2 men. In 1. Time 15 Presenting a talking skit, "On Father's Train." A big laugh throughout. Bright and breezy. THE NEAPOLITANS. 1 men, 2 women. Time 18. In 2 special back drop. They sing several classical numbers. Francisco Manetta, the tenor, has the best voice I have ever heard on the vaudeville stage. His rendition of "Il Trovatore" was beautiful and scored heavily. Prettily costumed. Up to the high Lovenberg standard. HERMANY'S? AERONAUTIC CATS AND DOGS. F.S. Garden. Time 10. Half a dozen cats and dogs. The novel feature is jumping from swinging trapezes by cats and dogs which proved a distinct hit. Hermany gets away from the old forms and should do well on any bill. TEMPLE QUARTETTE 4 men. Time 17. In 1. In my opinion the best straight quartette in vaudeville. The singing is quiet and effective. Two of the voices are remarkable and score heavily in solos. CECIL LEAN and FLORENCE HOLBROOK. C.D.F. Time 30 min. Open with a funny line of "joshing" material that is novel and takes well. Then go to their own songs. Mr Lean's base ball song is immense. Personalities very engaging. Big applause throughout and individual numbers encored frequently. The act can hardly be praised sufficiently. NELLIE NICHOLDS. In 1. Time 20. Singing comedienne. This proved a very difficult spot on a bill with so much singing and especially following Lean and Holbrook. The first two songs seemed a bit doubtful, but Miss Nichols managed to gain the audience after that. She is vivacious, works hard, and considering the difficulty she was under, I consider her success remarkable. She has a full and pleasing voice. GRIGOLATI'S BALLET. Same as last week.
