REPORT BALTIMORE SHOW. MARYLAND THEATRE, WEEK OCT. 11TH. 1909 F.C. Schanberger. BELLE HATHAWAY'S SIMIAN PLAYMATES = 12 Minutes Full Stage. This is a fair act saved only by the groups of monkeys, as the work they do amounts to virtually nothing. WHEELER EARLE & VERA CURTIS. = 15 minutes in 1 = A singing and talking act that got by nicely. Songs fair. Talk just a little draggy. Have quickened the act up by cutting the talk down. After today it will run about 12 minutes. WEBSTER CULLISON, LUCIE VILLA & CO. = 25 Minutes full stage. Comedy sketch "Stung". Five people. Story of two elopements, Mother and daughter Son and father. Both meeting by accident in country Inn where complications are further muddled by eccentric country boy (Cullison) Theme good, Cullison good, Company bad. TEMPLE QUARTETTE = 17 Minutes in 1 = One of the best straight quartettes in vaudeville. Went big. O'BRIEN HAVEL & PAULINE LE MOYNE= 20 Minutes Full Stage. "Comedy skit" The Office Boy and the Typewriter". Have not played this act for the past three years and it went with a scream. HARRY B. LESTER = 17 minutes in 1. Fair monologue with good impersonations. Doing fine here. Act seems to please everybody. CAMILLE OBER = 14 minutes in 2. French Chanteuse, She sings four songs all of which went big. She closes with "Carrie" sung in English with which she scored heavily, This woman has a freak voice and should cause a great deal of talk and draw some money. A very satisfactory feature. MANGEAN TROUPE = 9 minutes in 1. A good acrobatic act for the money but barely strong enough to close our shows. THE KINETOGRAPH = Pictures all right.
