239 BOSTON SHOW WEEK MAY 2, '10 [1910] (Monday afternoon) R. G. Larsen. DENNIS BROTHERS. Acrobats on the revolving ladder. 7 minutes f.s. A very good opening act for the money. DICK LYNCH. 18 minutes in 1. Lynch's burlesquing of illustrated songs got the audience in good shape here, and his stories went very well. Act dragged a bit at the middle, but had a good finish, and was on the whole every satisfactory. TROVOOLLO. 19 minutes f.s. In his new act, "The Boston Road Inn." Made quite an impression here. Everything worked well and he has a lot of good material. COTTER AND BOULDEN. 13 minutes in1. A lively singing and dancing team, man and woman, that includes some banjo playing and imitations, all of which went first rate and had a big finish. WORLD AND KINGSTON. 25 minutes open and close in 1. Doing their old act and going as well as ever. Miss Kingston introduced a rather novel effect in a mirror shawl, that causes reflections all over the audience. It was used for the first time to-day. Proved quite a novelty but failed to get a hand. Audience seemed rather dazzled. TOM WATERS. 17 minutes in 1. This man did first rate with the inevitable piano. A good act for the spot, with novelty and plenty of laughs, but would be afraid to play him further down. GEORGE BEBAN AND COMPANY IN "THE SIGN OF THE ROSE." 25 minutes f.s. special set. Made a hit here this afternoon. Pretty act although the scenery is rather on the hog at this time of the season. Played without the girl and the automobile but this did not seem to make any material difference, nut I have the same comment that others have made, that the supporting company is certainly inadequate for the amount of money we are paying. Notwithstanding it got more applause than any sketch in this house in years. MARY NORMAN. 10 minutes in 1. Following Began Miss Norman had an awful hard spot but she got away with it in great shape and was really the hit of the show this afternoon. GASCH SISTERS. 7 minutes f.s. Head balancing. A great act, almost too good to close a show. PICTURES. "Wild birds and their haunts," beautiful colored film, and "A Willful Dame," fair comedy.
